Event Details - SYP Spring Event

Our GSARA Club event for the Spring POTA Support Your Parks weekend will be held on Saturday, April 18th. We will gather at Pillsbury State Park (US-2673), located on Highway 31 just north of Washington, NH. Those familiar with the park will agree that it is worth the drive, as it offers a quiet and secluded environment ideal for radio operations.

Please refer to the attached map of the park(see below). We will meet at the far end of the main trail, where the red circle is marked. The POTA weekend takes place before camping season begins, so the area will be free of campers and provide open space for setting up tables, antennas, and more.

This event is not only a fun social gathering but also a great opportunity for POTA veterans to activate a new park. More importantly, if you’re new to the hobby or just curious about what POTA is all about, this is a perfect chance to attend, ask questions, get on the air, and earn a nifty POTA award!

The official POTA event runs from April 18th to 19th UTC. We will gather on Saturday, April 18th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT. You are welcome to arrive early and stay late. In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, we will meet on Sunday, April 19th, at the same time.

We will be offering a BBQ with burgers and hot dogs (cash donations are encouraged).
