
Ham Radio in our Local Communities and Schools
As a club, we firmly believe in giving back to our community through various initiatives. Whether it's by providing communication assistance during a Road Race, or actively participating in local high school STEM programs, we always strive to raise awareness about the significance of amateur radio. COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Tom Perkins, W1FMF, spent a week at the ARRL Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology—a donor-funded program that equips teachers to bring hands-on radio and STEM learning to schools. His takeaway: simplify complex tech for students, and bring back practical tools and activities that work in the classroom.
