How Our Mentoring Works

  1. Sign up: Tell us what you’re interested in and your goals.

  2. Match: You’re paired with a mentor(s) whose experience fits you.

  3. Meet & Learn: Regular hands-on sessions (in-person or online) focused on real tasks.

  4. Practice & Grow: Simple assignments, logs, and practice on the air.

  5. Next Steps: Earn recognition and explore bands, modes, or contests, POTA, and SOTA.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We encourage you to become a member so you’ll be able to receive all the additional member benefits our club members get! If you took your test with GSARA or are a student we offer a 1 year club membership.

  • Yup, We understand that life, family and work can take up personal time so we work with you at your pace.

  • Its at your pace and commitment level. There is no “scheduled” time as you may work with several mentors and people at different stages.

  • The only costs is that we encourage you to be a GSARA Member so we can get to know you and help you on your journey after. There are costs involved in purchasing equipment and materials but that is all outlined with your mentor team.

  • We use Zoom for both group and individual sessions. As the goal is to have flexibility and help you.
