EVENT: Summer Support your Parks POTA Meetup

Our GSARA Club event for the Summer POTA Support Your Parks weekend is coming up this Saturday, July 18th. For those of you not deep-sea fishing or supporting the bicycle event on Mt. Washington, we will be returning at Pillsbury State Park (US-2673). The park is on Highway 31 just north of Washington, NH. Many of you are now familiar with the location and are aware of what a great park this is. 

See attached map of the park. There is a picnic area at the end of the road with parking between campsites #28 & #30 where we can set up. Within the park, we can use 446.100 MHz for communications, as always. 

This is a fun social event and a great opportunity for POTA veterans to perhaps activate a new park. More importantly, if you are new to the hobby or just curious what POTA is all about, this is a perfect chance to come, ask questions, get on the air, and earn a nifty POTA award!

The official POTA event runs July 18-19 UTC. We will be gathering on Saturday, July 18th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT. Though you are certainly welcome to arrive early and stay late. At the moment, the weather looks favorable. Though in the event of inclement weather on Saturday, the group can gather on Sunday, the 19th, at the same time. Unfortunately, I have a prior commitment on Sunday and will not be able to attend, should a weather delay be necessary.
