Help Us Build the Next Technician License Training Team

GSARA is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping new hams get started in amateur radio.

We are beginning the process of building a team to help test, shape, and support our upcoming Technician License Training Zoom course. This is an opportunity to help train, equip, and educate the future ham radio licensees in our community.

Our goal is to offer Technician license training in two formats:

3-Day Online Zoom Course
A focused online course designed to help students prepare for their Technician license exam, with testing included.

8-Week Hybrid Course
A slower-paced, one-hour-per-week course designed to guide students step-by-step toward earning their Technician license, with a mix of online and possible in-person support.

But before we launch this as a club program, we need help.

We are looking to build a strong team of volunteers who can help review the course format, offer feedback, assist with teaching, answer questions, encourage new students, and help make this a welcoming and effective training experience.

You do not need to be a professional instructor. If you enjoy helping others, explaining ham radio in a friendly way, or want to be part of growing the hobby, we would love to hear from you.

This is about more than just helping people pass a test. It is about welcoming new operators into amateur radio, giving them confidence, and helping them find their place in the hobby.

If you would like to be part of the team, please email Eric, N1JUR, at membership@gsara.org to get involved.
