Build a Tape-Measure Yagi With GSARA This August
At our next GSARA club meeting in August, members will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on tape-measure Yagi antenna build.
This is a great project for anyone interested in learning more about directional antennas, antenna construction, fox hunting, satellite work, or portable VHF operating. The tape-measure Yagi is lightweight, practical, and an excellent addition to any amateur radio kit.
During the meeting, participants will assemble their own antenna and work through the build alongside other club members.
Reserve Your Build Kit
To participate, you can purchase a complete tape-measure Yagi kit directly through the GSARA website using this link https://www.gsara.org/shop/p/club-build-tape-measure-yagi
Purchasing your kit in advance will reserve your spot in the August meeting build and ensure that your materials are ready when you arrive.
Prefer to Gather Your Own Parts?
Participants are also welcome to purchase and bring their own materials.
A complete parts list and build guide are available here:
https://www.jpole-antenna.com/2017/02/07/build-it-2-meter-tape-measure-yagi-beam-antenna/
Whether you purchase the prepared kit through GSARA or gather the components yourself, be sure to reserve your place and join us in August for a practical, hands-on antenna-building session.
Space and prepared kits may be limited, so members interested in participating should sign up as soon as possible.
Order Deadline
Kit orders will remain open through July 31. This deadline gives GSARA enough time to purchase, organize, and prepare all necessary materials before the August club event.
Bring your kit to the meeting and build alongside fellow GSARA members.
