The GSARA will be hosting a community outreach event at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, featuring a table that introduces kids ages 6-12 to Ham Radio. Activities will include scheduled QSO sessions where participants can "talk to a ham" on a repeater, learn their names in Morse Code, fox hunt, and operate a high-frequency (HF) station.
If you would like to participate or volunteer, please get in touch with Ralph (KC1TLY) for more information.
There are many opportunities to volunteer - You do not have to stay for the duration!
